Dacher Keltner is a professor of psychology at the University of California, where he directs the social interaction lab. Dacher is a best selling author with “Born to Be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life”., and co-authored “Compassionate Instinct” and “Understanding Emotions”. He consulted on the 2015 movie “Inside Out” and is the director of the Greater Good Science Center, which is a magnificent online resource for leading a happier and more compassionate life. We talks about the importance of gratitude and writing them down, awe and getting outside, compassion and it’s power, laughter and it’s healing, deep breathing and the focus of breathing, contemplation whether it be prayer or meditation and story telling receiving and giving. All these things are good for cultivating healthy emotions.
